An encouragement to all families over this time.
Psalm 91 – “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.”
How can this be? We certainly don’t see this across the board with God’s people. We also don’t see the majority of God’s people fulfilling the requirements of this Psalm either. As impossible as this seems, God promises complete protection from evil and plagues. They are not to even come nigh our dwelling. This whole Psalm was written to those whose habitation is under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalms 91:1 and 9). Habitation releases faith in the promises of God.
Dwelling in the secret place of the most high is your protection.
The lockdown situation presents to us a wonderful opportunity for family bonding and ministry. May we encourage you to use much of this time for this purpose.
Scriptures to consider during this time are:
Psalm 91; Psalm 103v1-5; 2 Peter 1-4, Ephesians 1,2 & 3; Colossians 1 & 2, and Psalm 139 v13-18.
May the peace of God rule in your hearts at this time. Remember God is Love.
