Proverbs 22:28

Remove not the ancient landmark.

The nation of Israel used physical landmarks, such as trees or heaps of stones, as reminders of property boundaries. They also set up landmarks as reminders of important events. For example, Samuel placed a stone as a monument to the Lord’s deliverance (1 Sam. 7:12). Similarly, Jacob set up a rock as a memorial of his vision of the ladder reaching into heaven (Gen. 28:18). Even feasts were set up as markers to remind the people of what God had done.
It should come as no surprise that a man like Andrew Wommack would do the same. And perhaps the most significant marker in Andrew’s life is a date: March 23, 1968. Until that time, he was a self-described religious Pharisee, trying to earn God’s love by religious performance. But in 1968, God’s unconditional love consumed Andrew, and he has never been the same.
Andrew’s life is a testimony to what God can do through a person who answers the call. From humble beginnings to running a worldwide ministry, Andrew has proven faithful. How many lives have been transformed in these past fifty years? How many disciples have been raised up through Charis Bible College? How many others have heard and answered God’s call because of Andrew and Jamie’s obedience?
Although Andrew Wommack Ministries was not formally incorporated until ten years after Andrew’s life-changing experience, March 23, 1968, marks the date Andrew made an unconditional surrender to the call of God. So, in 2018, we are commemorating Andrew’s fiftieth anniversary of answering that call.
Throughout this landmark year, we will be taking time to look back and celebrate the major milestones over Andrew’s fifty years of service. We have some special things in store, such as a documentary, a summer banquet, and more! We will keep you posted as these events get closer.
As friends and partners, you are instrumental in all that Andrew and Jamie have been able to do over their years of ministry. We look forward to celebrating this landmark year with you.
